About the Scene Creation and Overall Concept<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This work is a 3D piece created using MOJIKAI<\/strong><\/a> to generate a beetle template that fits the envisioned scene, and completed in Blender<\/strong><\/a> with textures, materials, lighting, and rendering.
\nWhen generating the beetle template in MOJIKAI, various parts such as leg and horn length, wing openness, and body size can be adjusted. This allows for quick model generation and scene setup with ease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Production Period<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Adjusting and generating the beetle template in MOJIKAI, creating and adjusting shading and textures, lighting, full scene creation, and rendering took a total of 6 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Request Details and Scene Concept<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\"Scene creation using a beetle for inclusion in a portfolio.\"
\u2192 Inspired by the beetle, I envisioned \u201csummer, lush green trees, and strong sunlight.\u201d Since beetles typically rest in the shade during sunny summer days, the scene was designed to be slightly dim with scattered sunlight filtering through the trees.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Beetle Material<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Regarding the shader and material, special attention was given to reproducing the texture. Using bump maps and noise textures, I refined the details with brushwork to express the beetle's characteristic surface irregularities. Additionally, to recreate the subtle gloss variations of the exoskeleton, I intentionally left uneven strokes in the roughness map, achieving a more natural light reflection.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Scene Lighting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For the lighting, special care was taken to convey the feeling of summer through both lighting and scene composition. Although the setting is daytime, I limited the number of lights to reflect dappled sunlight.
